Our organisation is governed by a Trust. Our constitution states that there must be five to seven members on the board at any one time. Membership must include:

Board Chairperson: Ms Mihi Tibble

Mihi while serving as the Otara Health Charitable Trust Chair is employed as the Community Relations Manager with the Tamaki Redevelopment Company.


Deputy Chairperson: Mr Fuimaono Tuiasau, BA, LLB

Fuimaono is a Pacific leader, a qualified lawyer and advocate for social justice. He is currently actively involved in major governance, leadership and financial responsibilities in national Not for Profits and Non-Government Organisations. Some of these include Directorship roles with Lifeline Aotearoa and Transparency International New Zealand. Fuimaono currently serves as the Chair for Affinity Mental Health Services.


Mr Fa’anana Efeso Collins

Fa’anana Efeso joined the board as a trustee in April 2017. He is the Manukau Ward Councillor for Auckland Council and a former local board chair for the Otara Papatoetoe Local Board.


Mr Joseph Liava’a, B.Com, LLB, PGDipBus (Health Mgmt)

Joseph is a recent trustee appointment to the board serving as the Community Advisory Group  (CAG) representative and CAG chair. He is currently employed with East Tamaki Healthcare as that organisation’s Community Relationship  Manager.

Mrs Nita Ropata Riki

Nita is the local Maori representative on the Board and was the former chairperson for Otara Health Incorporated, and was until August 2017 the Chair for the Otara Health Charitable Trust. Nita has a long-standing historical attachment to the organisation going back to the founding years when community leaders first came together to seek ways to improve the health, well-being and social status of Otara people. Nita currently works as a health promoter for the Problem Gambling Foundation.


Ms Tamara Taka-Jones

Ngāti Tamaoho te iwi.

Tamara was appointed to the board serving as the Mana Whenua representative. She currently serves as a trustee for Ngāti Tamaoho Trust.


 Mr John Moore, Grad Dip Bus, Marketing

John is a successful commercial leader with an extensive executive management career of more than twenty years, across eight industry sectors. He possesses strong commercial acumen and financial planning having held full organisational operating responsibility as a former CEO for Stirling Sports, and a former  General manager for Beds R Us a major furniture retailer. Other former senior management roles include serving as a Group Merchandise and Marketing Manager for a number of other iconic businesses also operating in New Zealand..
